Image of the Day: White throated Fantail Flycatcher, Karnataka

A small passerine bird, the white throated fantail Flycatcher is found in India, Bangladesh and Indonesia. They lay up to three eggs in a small cup shaped nest which is plastered efficiently with cobweb.

  1. I can see this bird in the bushes and the shrubs in front of my house daily. It is constantly moving and very difficult to photograph. Despite it’s small size, It is not afraid of crows at all and many times I have seen it competing with the crows for dead rats.
